One man was shot Tuesday morning in a possible gang-related attack in Carson — and a woman was almost shot as well, but the gun jammed and the shooter fled in a vehicle — according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident took place in an apartment complex in the 800 block of East Victoria Street, just north of Dignity Health Sports Park, around 1:40 a.m., Deputy Tracy Koerner said.
The wounded man was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds, Koerner said. The shooter, a woman, also tried to shoot an unidentified woman at the scene but the gun jammed, Koerner said.
A description of the attacker and the vehicle in which she fled were not immediately available.
Anyone with information was asked to call the sheriff’s Carson station at 310-830-1123. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
