One person was shot in an upper arm Monday morning on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Studio City.
The shooting was reported at 3:33 a.m. when a California Highway Patrol officer discovered the wounded motorist near the Laurel Canyon on-ramp to the westbound Ventura Freeway, according to CHP Officer Peter Nicholson.
The motorist was apparently wounded during a car-to-car shooting east of Laurel Canyon, Nicholson said.
The motorist was taken by paramedics to a hospital for treatment, he said.
A SigAlert was issued for the Laurel Canyon Boulevard on-ramp between 4:21 a.m. and 5:14 a.m. while the wounded motorist’s vehicle was towed away, Nicholson said.
