A bloody victim was hospitalized in critical condition Sunday after he was shot in an apartment area near Jim Gilliam Park in the Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw area of Los Angeles.
Gunfire rang out just after midnight on the at 4000 block of Ursula Avenue, according to a dispatcher in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital, she said, and the attack was reported at 12:28 a.m.
Authorities provided no information about the identities of either the victim or his attacker.
There was also no word of a possible motive.
