The suspicious death of a 38-year-old woman in Palm Springs on Monday has been ruled a homicide, authorities said Tuesday.
The Palm Springs Police Department received a report of shots fired at 12:01 a.m. Monday in the area of Cherokee Way and E. Palm Canyon Drive. Officers arrived to find the woman already dead inside her parked vehicle due to a gunshot wound.
On Tuesday, authorities said detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide, but did not indicate why that determination was made.
The identity of the victim has yet to be revealed and no potential suspect has been provided.
