A man was fatally shot Wednesday in downtown Los Angeles.
Police say the victim was walking at approximately 12:10 a.m. near East Seventh Street and Ceres Avenue when he was approached by another man who shot him and drove away, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Lizeth Lomeli.
Lomeli said it was unknown if the suspect and the victim knew each other.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lomeli said the shooting investigation is ongoing.
