County authorities Thursday identified the man who was killed in an apartment in Long Beach.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office confirmed the victim was Charles Ogletree, 42.
Long Beach Police Department officers were called to an apartment at approximately 9:30 p.m. Sunday near the 200 block of Atlantic Avenue on a report of gunshots in the area, according to police.

“The argument escalated when the suspect produced and discharged a firearm multiple times toward the victim, striking him and causing the injuries that ultimately resulted in his death,” police said.
No other injuries were reported.
No description was released of the suspect.
