A man was shot Monday morning when he responded to a knock at the front door of his Westlake apartment.
The shooting was reported at 12:35 a.m. at 522 S. Union Ave., according to a dispatcher at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital where his vital signs were stable, she said.
Suspect information was not immediately available.
