Firefighters knocked down a fire Sunday evening inside a six-story building in downtown Los Angeles.
The fire at 334 S. Main St., west of Third Street, was reported at 8:41 p.m. according to Los Angeles, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The department dispatched 74 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames on 38 minutes, Stewart said.
Firefighters were conducting smoke removal operations in the building to clear the floors, Stewart continued.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation, she said.
