A bicyclist suffered major injuries after being struck by a car Saturday morning in Palm Springs.
The collision occurred at about 5:40 a.m. on Indian Canyon Drive between Garnet Avenue and Palm Springs Station Road, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
The bicyclist — identified only as a Palm Springs resident — was taken to a hospital. The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, police said.
Investigators said drugs or alcohol were not believed to be a factor in the crash, and no arrests were reported.
