A suspect was shot by police in Panorama City Wednesday.
Officers were called just before 2:20 p.m. to the 8700 block of Tobias Avenue, near the street’s intersection with Van Nuys Boulevard, on reports of an assault suspect armed with a knife, according to Officer Jader Chaves of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Details on what led to the shooting were unclear, but the LAPD confirmed an ambulance was called to the scene to transport the suspect to a hospital in unknown condition.
No officers were injured in the shooting.
