A man was shot to death Friday in Riverside near the site of a memorial for two other men who were fatally shot earlier this week.
Officers responded to the latest shooting at 12:40 a.m. and found the victim in a parking lot in the 11100 block of Pierce Street, according to the Riverside Police Department.
An argument between the victim and the gunman preceded the shooting, though the nature of the argument was unclear, police said.
Officers attempted lifesaving measures on the victim — who was shot multiple times, including in the head — until paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital, where he later died, police said.
The site of Friday’s shooting was on the same block as a triple-shooting that occurred about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday in a building at Pierce Street and Rose Avenue, which left two men dead and another injured.
Alexis Lua, 26, of Chino was pronounced dead at the scene while Fred Beltran, 35, of San Pedro died at Riverside Community Hospital, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.
It was unclear if the two shootings were connected. No arrested have been reported in either of the shootings.
