A man was shot and killed in South Los Angeles Friday.
The shooting was reported just after 5:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of West Florence Avenue, between Western and Normandie avenues, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison told City News Service.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. His name was not immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
No other injuries were reported in the shooting, Madison said.
Police were searching for a male suspect who was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a white logo, black shorts and white shoes, with his hair tied back in a bun. The suspect fled the scene in a dark blue or black Chevrolet Malibu.
