Two women suffered lacerations during what police called a “group fight” in Canoga Park, and two men were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, authorities said Sunday.

Both women were listed in stable condition at an area hospital, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division reported.

Officers were dispatched at 9:40 p.m. Saturday to the 6900 block of Alabama Street, where there were also “multiple victims of battery,” police said, declining to go into additional detail.

One man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon with a knife, and another man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon with a chair, police said.
