Riverside County firefighters have stopped the forward progress of a brush fire in Thermal Saturday that scorched an estimated four acres.
The blaze, which ignited near Avenue 69 and Pierce Street, was reported at 3 p.m., according to the county fire department.
No injuries were reported and no structures threatened, the department reported.
