Firefighters in Santa Ana put out a fire Monday morning involving an exterior shed and several trees that threatened homes.

The fire was reported at 12:53 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Flower Street, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

Firefighters quickly put out the blaze that was spreading toward homes, officials said.

One resident was assessed by paramedics but declined transport to a hospital, officials said.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
