A fire damaged a vacant building that housed a theater in Hollywood Wednesday, but no injuries were reported.
Firefighters sent to the 1400 block of North Las Palmas Avenue at about 1 p.m. extinguished the flames in about 20 minutes, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“This structure is a two story, vacant theatre which burned previously,” Stewart said in a statement. “Firefighters defended the adjacent structures from damage.”
Traffic was routed away from the area as investigators sought the cause of the fire.
