Four suspects who led police on a high-speed chase that began in South Los Angeles and ended in Santa Clarita were in custody Friday evening.

Los Angeles Police Department officers began their pursuit of the suspects after receiving a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon around 9:30 p.m., Officer Warren Moore told City News Service.

The pursuit traversed Newhall and Caynon Country, at times reaching speeds of 110 mph before the suspects surrendered on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Soledad Canyon Road.

The ages and genders of the suspects were not immediately known.
