Firefighters quickly knocked down a half-acre, medium-to-heavy brush fire Sunday that burned uphill in the Mount Washington area of Los Angeles.

Firefighters dispatched at 1:11 p.m. Sunday to 4430 N. San Rafael Ave. had the blaze out within 22 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

No structures were threatened, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
