A man was fatally shot in Pico Rivera and detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding his death Wednesday.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Pico Rivera station were called at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday to the 9400 block of Underwood Street, near Whittier and Passons boulevards, regarding a shots fired call. They found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body, sheriff’s homicide Lt. Patricia Thomas said.
Mark Luna, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the county Department of Medical Examiner.
