A bicyclist was rescued after suffering an injury on a trail in Winchester Sunday.
Authorities received a report of an injured bicyclist around 9:50 a.m. in Diamond Valley Lake, and firefighters had to hike to the bicyclist’s location.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s helicopter Rescue 9 assisted in the rescue due to the remote location.
The bicyclist was loaded into the helicopter and taken to a hospital by ground ambulance with minor injuries.
