Firefighters quickly extinguished an attic fire at a one-story duplex in the North Hollywood area Tuesday with no reported injuries.
According to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department, fire crews responded to the 5800 block of North Tujunga Avenue between Emelita and Hatteras streets around 4:30 p.m. regarding a residential fire in an attic sparked by an outside fire.
Humphrey said it took 30 firefighters 23 minutes to douse the blaze.
What may have sparked the outside fire was unclear, and the cause was under investigation.
