A man was killed early Monday in a crash in the Port of Long Beach.
The crash was reported at 3:42 a.m. in the 300 block of Mediterranean Way, Long Beach police Lt. Gerrit DeJongh told City News Service. That is near Pier T.
Long Beach firefighters pronounced the man dead at the scene, DeJongh said. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and his name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
The crash was under investigation, he said.
