A woman walking her dog was killed Monday in a hit-and-run traffic collision in Panorama City, police said.
Officers responded to the intersection of Burnett Avenue and Rayen Street around 6 a.m. to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle that failed to stop, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died, police said.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner withheld the woman’s name pending notification of relatives.
The city is offering a reward of up to $50,000 to those with information leading to the driver’s identification, arrest and conviction.
