A 50-year-old man was killed by a hit-and-run driver as he rode his bicycle in the Hyde Park neighborhood and Thursday police are looking for the driver and the vehicle that struck him.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division were called at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to Vernon and Sixth avenues where they learned the victim was riding east on Vernon when a vehicle driving in the same direction struck him and did not stop to render aid, an LAPD officer told City News Service.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
There was no vehicle or driver description.
