A man crossing a street in Studio City Monday evening was hit by a vehicle and briefly trapped under it.
Firefighters responded to the 11000 block of Moorpark Street, between Vineland Avenue and the Hollywood (101) Freeway, around 7:15 p.m. to a report regarding a collision involving a pedestrian, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
Firefighters quickly freed the man, then took him to a hospital in “at least” serious condition, Stewart said.
It was unclear what may have caused the crash or if the driver remained at the scene.
The crash is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, Stewart said.
