Police sought the public’s assistance Tuesday in identifying an armed robbery suspect who fled on foot after demanding cash from a business in Culver City.

Officers responded to the 3900 block of Sepulveda Boulevard around 11:45 p.m. Monday to a report of an armed robbery, during which an unidentified suspect entered a business ordered a worker to open the cash register at gunpoint, according to Culver City Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Atenza.

Atenza said the victim complied with the suspect’s order and removed $200 from the register.

The suspect then attempted to have the victim open a safe but was unsuccessful, then fled on foot.

Anyone with information regarding the armed robbery was urged to contact Atenza at 310-253-6120 or jennifer.atenza@culvercity.org.
