Sunday’s intense storm left several vehicles partially underwater at an intersection in Tarzana and also left one car’s occupants temporarily trapped.
The cars were stuck in two to three feet of water at the intersection of Oxnard Street and Donna Avenue. A 911 call came in at 6:22 p.m. Sunday, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
The stranded vehicle’s occupants remained inside because of the unpredictable currents at the intersection, Prange said.
No injuries were reported and the LAFD’s Swiftwater Rescue Team was sending a watercraft to rescue the occupants, he said.
