A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and killed Friday in the Malibu area, and Pacific Coast Highway was closed in the area, authorities said.
The man died at the scene of his injury, which occurred about 6:35 a.m. near Cross Creek Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Information on his identity was not immediately available.
The motorist remained at the scene and was interviewed by authorities, the sheriff’s department reported. Motorists were advised to use alternate routes while an investigation was conducted.
