Fire Sunday damaged a two-story duplex in the Chesterfield Square area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 7:19 a.m. The Los Angeles Fire Department sent 31 firefighters to 5519 S. Ruthelen St., and they had the fire out within 23 minutes, LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
Firefighters managed to confine the flames to the walls of a chimney in a 1,200-square-foot duplex, he said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
