A hiker stranded in darkness on a rain-soaked section of the Temescal Ridge Trail in Topanga State Park in Pacific Palisades was rescued Sunday.
A 911 call for help was made at 8:08 p.m. Sunday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
An LAFD rescue helicopter lowered a medic to check the man’s health, but he was not injured. They were then hoisted into the helicopter and flown to safety, Humphrey said.
A description of the hiker was not immediately available.
