An 83-year-old man suffered a head injury during a fall while hiking Sunday on the O’Melveny Trail in Granada Hills, authorities said.
His condition was not immediately known.
Firefighters and paramedics dispatched to the scene at 7:37 a.m. located the hiker in a remote area, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
He was hoisted from the location and transported by helicopter to a hospital.
