A chase of a motorcycle rider that began in Pomona that at times exceeded 150 mph ended in Ontario with the suspect’s arrest by the California Highway Patrol, authorities said Thursday.

The suspect was reportedly doing stunts in the parking lot of the Pomona Fairplex and when police attempted to stop him, the suspect sped away, Fox 11 reported.

The pursuit, which began at around 10:43 p.m. Wednesday, traversed Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties and the San Bernardino (10)Freeway, the Pomona (60) Freeway and briefly on the Orange (57) Freeway, with the rider speeding and weaving in between lanes before exiting the 60 Freeway in the East San Gabriel Valley at high speeds, CBS 2 reported.

After suddenly exiting the freeway, the suspect pulled over on a surface street and surrendered to the officers, who took the man into custody at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
