A driver who police said made an illegal left turn was killed in a collision with a semi-trailer truck in Long Beach Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the intersection of Harbor Avenue and Anaheim Street around 8:05 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a collision, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Officers learned that the driver of a westbound 2012 Toyota Camry made an illegal left turn from Anaheim Street onto Harbor Avenue and crashed into a semi-trailer truck traveling westbound on Anaheim Street, police said.
Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took the driver of the Camry to a hospital, where he died.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner was withholding the driver’s name pending notification of relatives.
