Homicide detectives Friday identified the victims, whose bodies were found at a Santa Ana storage facility.

Police found the victims about 4:25 p.m. Thursday at a storage unit in the 1200 block of East Chestnut Avenue, Santa Ana Officer Natalie Garcia said. The two were identified as 25-year-old Jordan Block and 64-year-old Brian Martin, both of Santa Ana, Garcia said.

Block called 911, saying she and her uncle had been stabbed by her boyfriend, Garcia said.

Block and Martin, who she described as her uncle, were pronounced dead at the scene, while the suspect was found with a self-inflicted wound to the upper body and taken to an area hospital, where he remained in grave condition, Garcia said.

All three had gunshot wounds, she said.

Garcia said Block and her boyfriend were visiting Martin in the storage facility, where he apparently was residing.

Martin had a “ton of edged weapons” in the unit, but it was unclear if he was selling them or was just a collector, she said.

It was unconfirmed whether a spear at the scene had been used in the attack, Garcia said.
