Authorities Thursday are investigating a shooting at a bar in downtown Los Angeles that left a 47-year-old man dead and another wounded.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department’s Central Division were called at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday to 410 Boyd St. near East Third Street regarding reports of a shooting at the bar. When they arrived, police learned two men who had engaged in a verbal confrontation with two male suspects had been shot, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel and the second victim was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
Witnesses told police the suspects ran away from the scene in an unknown direction.
