Police Thursday are investigating a fatal collision with a pedestrian in Pomona.
Pomona Police Department officers were called to East Mission Boulevard and South Reservoir Street at 10:09 p.m. Wednesday regarding a collision. Upon their arrival, they found the pedestrian in the roadway, according to reports from the scene from KeyNews.TV.
The victim, whose name, age and gender were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
The driver who struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Police closed westbound and eastbound Mission Boulevard while they investigated the traffic collision.
