A man was shot to death Friday in Compton.
The fatal shooting occurred around 6:25 a.m. Friday in the 2200 block of West 153rd Street, near Bursch Elementary School, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim, who authorities described as a 30- to 35-year-old Black man, suffered gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the department.
There was no suspect information and a possible motive for the shooting was unclear.
