A 20-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured during a crash with an SUV in Pasadena, authorities said Saturday.
The crash occurred about 10:20 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Orange Grove and Marengo Avenue, where witnesses reported the biker had been speeding prior to the crash, according to Pasadena police Lt. Andrea Perez.
Paramedics rushed the Pasadena resident to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. The motorist who was driving the SUV stayed at the crash scene and cooperated with police, Perez said. It was not known if that person or any occupants inside the SUV were injured.
Police had no description of the motorcycle.
It was also unknown whether alcohol or drugs were contributors to the crash and there was no other immediate information available.
