A four-year-old boy was back home in Torrance Saturday after he went missing during a camping trip near Huntington Lake in Fresno County and was located 22 hours later.
Christian Ramirez wandered away from the Rancheria Campground at about 10 a.m. Thursday, clad only in a T-shirt, shorts and sneakers, according to a Facebook post by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
A search party of about 50 sheriff’s deputies, rangers and volunteers spent the night searching for Christian, including members of the Tulare County Search and Rescue Team. The child was located at about 8 a.m. Friday in good condition under a tree about a quarter mile from where he disappeared, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office and multiple local media sources.
“Christian is in good condition, he was just tired and hungry. He has been reunited with his parents. No further details of his disappearance are available at this time,” officials said.
