A man was fatally shot Monday in Carson.
Investigators responded to the shooting around noon in the 500 block of East Fairhaven Street, near Avalon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died. It was unclear what motivated the shooting, and there was no description of a suspect immediately available.
