A brush fire in Palmdale burned 80 acres Wednesday evening before being extinguished by Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters.
Firefighters were called to West Avenue S and Westland Drive at 7:31 p.m. where they found the flames spreading quickly but were able to halt its progress at 9:29 p.m., a department spokesman said..
It was not immediately known if there were any injuries.
