Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was fatally shot during an altercation with two other men in a Lancaster smoke shop.
Investigators responded to the 1400 block of West Avenue I at around 3:25 p.m. Tuesday regarding a shooting, said homicide Lt. Michael Mordica of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The department said two men “entered the store and were involved in a fight with the victim, during which time one of the suspects pulled out a firearm and shot the victim. The suspects were last seen fleeing the location on foot.”
The wounded man died at the scene.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the victim as George Peter Al Hawara, 18, of Lancaster.
