Officers recovered a handgun during a traffic stop in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
Officers conducted the stop at about 7:20 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Pacific Coast Highway, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“During their investigation, officers discovered that the driver of the vehicle was a prohibited possessor in possession of a firearm,” according to a police statement. “The suspect was arrested, and officers recovered the firearm. The investigation is ongoing.”
