A woman was killed a multi-vehicle crash that stopped traffic and caused delays for several hours on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Carson, authorities said Tuesday.
The crash was reported at 9:53 p.m. Monday and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the southbound freeway and the Avalon Boulevard off-ramp where they found the victim, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of the southbound freeway for several hours while they investigated the cause of the crash.
