A fire damaged a garage in the Sylmar area Wednesday that allegedly was “housing an illicit cannabis operation,” but no one was hurt, authorities said.
Firefighters were sent to the 13200 block of North Dronfield Avenue at 11:27 a.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Despite the challenge of erratic winds, the first arriving 27 LAFD Firefighters took just 24 minutes to confine flames to a detached garage housing an illicit cannabis operation,” Humphrey said in a statement.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
No arrests were immediately reported, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
