A bomb squad was dispatched Sunday to deal with a suspicious package discovered in front of Macy’s department store in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.
The squad was dispatched at about 9:15 a.m. Sunday to the 700 block of West Seventh Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The operation forced the closure of Flower and Hope streets, between Seventh and Ninth streets, according to the LAPD’s Central Division, for an unknown duration.
No further information was immediately available.
