A vehicle went up in flames from a stack of burning garbage and the blaze damaged a second vehicle parked nearby in South Los Angeles Monday.
Units were dispatched at around 12:15 a.m. Monday to a rubbish fire that had spread to a parked car, damaging an additional vehicle in the 100 block of West 33rd Street in the University Park neighborhood area, according to a report from KTLA.
Crews were able to extinguish the engulfed vehicle, but severe damage had been done along with some damage to the front of a pickup, the report said.
No injuries were immediately reported, and the cause of the fire was unknown, KTLA reported.
