A 42-year-old man booked into the Orange County Jail Saturday died the next day, authorities said Monday.
James Rudolph Jones III was booked by Buena Park police Saturday on a probation violation, Orange County sheriff’s deputies said.
While he was being booked Jones appeared ill and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead just before noon Sunday, deputies said.
Jones’ death did not appear suspicious but the cause will be determined later following an independent autopsy, which will include toxicology tests to see if he had drugs in his system, deputies said.
