A man in his 30s was shot to death in the University Park area Sunday evening.
The fatal shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of West 23rd Street and Hoover Street, just south of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 5-feet-8 to -10 inches tall and about 170 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket and blue pants. Police say he fled the scene in an Audi SUV with California license plate 9MRB489.
A motive for the shooting was not disclosed.
