A handgun was recovered during a traffic stop Saturday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.
The traffic stop occurred at about 4:35 a.m. Saturday in the area of Cerritos Avenue and 56th Street, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“During their investigation, they (officers) discovered the driver was in possession of a firearm,” according to a police statement. “The gun was recovered, the driver was arrested, and the vehicle was towed. The investigation is ongoing.”
